GENERAL INFORMATION

Meal times and locations, riding and hiking options and all other activities as well as any changes to the daily schedule will be posted each day on the chalkboard in the main lodge.

Meal Times: Breakfast is served from 7:30-8:30, lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 6:30 (except on Wednesday, when it's at 7:00 to accommodate rafters, and Thursday adult candlelight dinner also at 7:00). All meals are served in the dining room, except for cookouts as indicated in the daily schedule.

Coffee: Come to the lodge in the morning for coffee and conversation. Fresh coffee, hot chocolate and fruit are available anytime in the dining room.

Activities: The daily activities are summarized on the weekly schedule. The rafting trip requires sign-up in advance, and if you cancel, it must be by lunch on Tuesday otherwise you will be responsible for payment.

Pool and Hot Tub: The pool is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. NO LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY, so young children MUST be accompanied by a parent or counselor. The hot tub at the pool area is open until 11:00 p.m. (Please note that for safety and health reasons, children under the age of twelve need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the hot tub). When you are finished using the hot tub, please replace the cover. Towels are in storage containers at the pool area for your use.

BYOB/Alcohol: We do not sell alcohol although we have a BYOB policy here at the ranch. You can bring your own, or we can pick it up for you in advance if you let us know, or we can pick it up on our town runs while you are here. We do have a main guest refrigerator in the lodge as well as glasses, corkscrews and ice, and your cabin has a small cooler.

Laundry: Guest washers, dryer and detergent are available at the entrance to the Game Room. Please do not use porch rails for drying your laundry.

Ice: Ice buckets are in each cabin and we have bags of ice available in the dining room.

We do have wireless internet capabilities in the lodge if you have to stay connected to the outside world, although we do ask that you limit use to the library or side porch. Please keep in mind that we are in a remote area and that wi-fi does not always work well – sometimes it might take several tries or you may have to try again later. It works fine for email but not for downloading movies or big files.

Telephone: There is a guest telephone in the library and we would appreciate it if you would give this number to anyone who might be calling you at the ranch: 719.376.9910. Our ranch number is a business line and should only be used in case of emergency.

Mail: Outgoing mail should be brought to the office; incoming mail will be delivered to you at mealtimes or can be picked up at the office.

Trading Post: Candy, pop, stamps, t-shirts and other items are available in the office. Please write down your purchases in the charge book provided.

We do not allow pets of any kind.

Altitude Sickness Prevention: We are located at 9000 feet which makes for a wonderful climate. However, you will need to drink plenty of water both before and during your stay at the ranch. If you are usually affected by high altitude, it is a good idea to consider bringing electrolytes. And for everyone, it is very important to stay well hydrated, particularly given the combination of the altitude and our very dry climate. We have wonderful mountain well water here at the ranch, so no need to bring your own.
